Opal, Sapphire and Diamond Brooch in 18 karat white gold. This wondrous butterfly brooch/pin is one of a kind! There is approximately 2.25 carats of round, brilliant-cut diamonds that form the body of the butterfly and outline of the wings. The wings are made of mesmerizing opal doublets with exquisite fire. The head of the butterfly is an approximately 5 mm x 3 mm bright, blue sapphire! The entire pin/brooch is approximately 2.5". This is a preowned item from an old Florida estate in excellent condition.
