Genuine Tourmaline and Earth-Mined Diamond Necklace. Breathtakingly beautiful butterfly necklace, it is not a wonder that designers love to work with Watermelon Tourmaline! This 14 karat yellow gold necklace features two pieces of carved bi-colored tourmaline. The pink-green colored tourmaline, known as Watermelon Tourmaline, has a shiny, vitreous luster and are carved into butterfly wings and measure approximately 1.75" x 3/4" each for a total weight of 21.76 carats. The ‘wings’ are prong-set on a solid 14 karat yellow gold frame that bears the Oscar Friedman hallmark and an ornate under gallery for support. The delightful butterfly is completed with 1.21 carats of round, brilliant-cut, I-J color, Si-I clarity diamonds in the ‘body’ and surrounding halo. The butterfly is suspended from a static 14 karat yellow gold, fine link chain with a lobster clasp. The chain is approximately 17.5" long and 2 additional rings are placed 1" apart that can be used to shorten the necklace and reposition the butterfly to the collarbone area.
