The Hidden Treasures Auction
This is a rare late Victorian 10 karat Operculum Mollusk bracelet. The bracelet measures 7.5" and 1/2 inch wide. It is made of lovely Turban snails that display rare colors of muted greys, whites and purples. As these pieces usually have a darker and much larger shell these are very dainty and lovely. The mollusks measure 1/2 " X 3/4 " approximately into a crown of ornate prongs. The setting and shells are jumped onto simple chains with slide style clasp. An unknown mark is present on a square plaque on the underside of the clasp. It is in fine condition and weighs 5.6 grams (3.6dwt). It is electrctronically tested to low 14 karat, acid test to 10 karat.
